Full house renovation to a beautiful property that was waiting to be made once again into a spectacular family home in Chingford, North East London.
The project involved a new side and rear extension giving a new family room and kitchen area, together with garage and gymnasium as well as a plant room for the boiler and controls.
Additionally, a new extended garden room completed, together with new roof lantern to flood the room with natural light, creating a large new space to the rear of the home. With restored cornices and bespoke skirting’s and architraves all over the house, the original character and features have been sympathetically reinstated, blending the modern with traditional perfectly.
The kitchen and family dining area involved creating a unique structural statement with vaulted high ceilings, roof lights, bi-folding full width doors and a bespoke hand crafted kitchen installed.
Upstairs, a new larger and stunning family bathroom was modelled, all newly plastered and decorated bedrooms and replacement of traditional timber double glazed sash windows and a new doorway onto a newly created roof garden.
Then into the roof, we installed a huge new master bedroom suite with adjoining bathroom. A French doorset opening onto a Juliette balcony overlooking the garden and park behind, providing stunning views of the London’s city skyline – previously not able to be seen.
The roof now incorporates a solar hot water system, connected to a thermal cylinder providing 70% of the hot water demands. This, together with the new full central heating system and complete rewire – making the home as energy efficient as possible and helping save energy.
We have created a huge, beautiful family home that was complimented with restoring the frontage by cleaning the soft red brick façade, replacing damaged bricks and then fully repointing with reinstatement of the flush tuck pointing techniques and this with the full external painting, restored and upgraded entrance door and renewed glazing gives this home the stunning kerbside appeal it deserves.
The house is now the most striking and beautiful property along what is one of Chingford premier streets. We were asked by the clients to deliver them a home they could be proud to own and feel has maximised it deserved potential and we delivered just that.
The whole project had been managed in house by Dendale and all trades were carried out by our own specialist team, delivering everything needed to create and something both the owner and Dendale are proud of. The house was made fully ready to move into on handing back to the clients and involved everything needed including carpets, blinds and decoration, meaning the owners simply needed their keys and the house was ready.
